The Bride Is Ready

According to biblical revelation about the last days, there are a few end-time events that are pivotal. Some of these include the falling away of many from the faith, the rise of the Antichrist, and the coming of Christ; the resurrection of saints, the judgment of Satan and those who pledge allegiance with him, and the emergence of a new heaven and a new earth. I wrote about the first three on this list in my book, The Mystery of Iniquity & The Rise of The Antichrist (to be released in September). The book acknowledges the various perspectives that people have about the subject matter but goes beyond the controversies to focus on Christ. I believe strongly that the only way we can navigate the perils of the last days is to keep our eyes fastened on Christ our Lord.

This leads to another pivotal event omitted from the list above, one that stirs up spontaneous worship in heaven among the heavenly host. John saw “the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures” fall facedown and worship God who sat on the throne, saying, “Amen! Alleluia!” He “heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!” What caused this outburst of praise and adoration in heaven? The cause is in the words of their worship: “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready” (see Revelation 19:3-7).

So, the time is coming when Christ will be united with His bride, the Church, and this union will be the reason for joy and worship in heaven. What an honour, what a day to look forward to! The desire of Christ is to be with us and for us to be with Him, and this desire will one day be fulfilled, marked with joy, festivity, and unending worship. Of all the end-time events that will occur in their ordained times, this is the one to look out and prepare for.

There will be a generation of believers who will consider it their primary privilege to prepare for coming of Christ. They will understand what this entails in its fulness and find grace to become what they were destined to be: the wife of Christ. Indeed, this is a great mystery, one that is yet to be fully unveiled in the earth. As the host of heaven testified, the bride “has made herself ready.” I believe and therefore I declare: the bride of Christ is ready! Yes, I come in the Spirit of my Father, declaring that which is not as though it is: the bride of Christ is ready!

The unfortunate thing is that 5 of 10 of the Brides failed to unite with the Bridegroom for a number of reasons. However, what is most worthy of note is what Jesus alluded to in that parable which is the failure of the 5 in having extra oil. Oil in the parable certainly can’t signify just Holly Spirit or anointing. No! Rather it indicates more significantly the life of Christ in the believer that radiates His glory for all to see. ROM 8:10. My concern for my generation, is the misunderstanding of salvation for Christianity as a way to serving God. A way to serving God which does not give life is nothing but another form of religion. May God give us understanding of what it takes to be ready.
